SOMETIMES...2008

Sometimes things occur,

without being planned,

and you do nothing to stop them....

 just ride along.

You take off your sunglasses

bravely let the rays sting your eyes

stare into the light

and reach for whats beyond the glare.

You know

youre no longer in control

when your heart and your soul

make plans by themselves

without first consulting you

 you can be sure

 that the path you are on

is the right one

because it simply doesnt feel

wrong anymore.

For  life changes

we must change too

and sometimes its best

to take a seat on the shore

just near enough to the surf

and  tho you are afraid...

 let the water wash over you.

turn deaf ears to the world

and its judgements.

let the roar of the waves

drown out the static.

then trust in yourself

to let someone touch you

when you most need

to be touched

when you most need

to be loved

and allow the earth's spirit

and the powers God has

to touch you as well

 to take

 formless clay

and mold it

 into

the rest of your life.
